a boring nightmare passing slow.
how’d i get here? what do i owe?
silence thick and my body’s stone,
so someone lead me and i will follow
i’ve fallen down familiar roads;
imagined conversations slow
of pieced together thoughts borrowed.
i’ve fallen numb now this is home,
but i can’t stay.
i’ll build a shelter to steal some rest
and hold me down through what comes next.
then pry it open and expose my chest
to sift and search through anything left.
